I have not had a chance to blog this yet, and have been dying to talk all about my amazing time in Austin Texas in early January. I attended the Pinkle Toes Workshop, hosted by the ridiculously talented and lovely Michele Andersen. I had such a fantastic time, learning more than I could have ever hoped for and it was just what I needed to start 2012 off on the right foot. I met such incredible women that share the same passion for photography that I do, and it is an honor to call them friends now. Michelle opened her home to us, where we stayed, learned, laughed, and bonded. We had the opportunity to participate in not only a newborn session, but also a maternity and a senior session. I thank Michele from the bottom of my heart for what a truly great example she is to us in the industry, and feel blessed to have had to opportunity to learn from her. 2011 was truly a year of change and happiness for our family! We bought a new house and welcomed our little girl Annie into the world. It’s still hard sometimes to believe we have THREE girls. I truly feel blessed. In a lot of ways it has been a complete blur of go go going. I have never been one to make New Year resolutions because I seem to never keep them so instead of letting my self down each year I choose to not make them at all, but instead pray that God will bless this coming year ahead of us. I’m looking forward to all that 2012 has in store for my personal life as well as Melody White Studios! Here are some highlights of 2012 I’m looking forward to:

* Workshop with the talented Michele Anderson of Pinkletoes Photography

* New Studio location opening (Late January)

* Carley starting Kindergartener (its ALL she talks about)

* Family vacation to Kauai in April (the girls are hoping to see Bethany Hamilton their Idol)

* Spending quality time with the family, going camping, day trips to the beach and more beloved trips up to Mendo.

Its not a long list but I’m super excited about all of these!

For New Years Conan & I decided to break away from the glitz and glamour of the traditional new year’s parties and get away just him and I. We headed up to our friends cabin tucked away on the cliffs at Anchor Bay. There was no power, no running water just him and I. It was cozy, quiet and relaxing just like we wanted. In the morning we went ocean fishing and I caught my first capozone. They truly are an ugly fish but SO good to eat!

One of my favorite families right here. Good friends and more importantly unbelievable christians who are such great examples to our family. This family was just one of many that we loved in our church small group for years, and lucky for me….we are practically neighbors. :-)

Big milestone year for this family (hence the bike theme) BOTH KIDS went training-wheel-less! Big deal, huh? Check out their fun family session at one of my favorite places in Sonoma County!

I totally identify with this family….do you see any similarities? I don’t have twins, but I do have THREE gorgeous girls as does this family. Our lives our never boring…that’s for sure! Loved how bright and cheery they all were and we had a beautiful day for a fun shoot!

Lucky to call this handsome guy a senior rep of mine! I have had a few shoots with Taylor, and have had soooo much fun. Congrats to him and his awesome football team for winning the football championship this year. Big things ahead for this guy. :-)

Absolutely adore this girl. I do not know if I have ever had a senior rep work harder and be more motivated then Natalie. She is beautiful inside and out, and so busy and involved in school and extra activities. I know because I have tried to track her down to babysit for me lots of times!! I can not wait to hear which college she decides to go to and that school can only be blessed with her ambition and dedication!
